Press Release - Companies Set to Go Head to Head for 2008 Enterprise Awards
Three companies will next week fight it out for first prize at the Docklands Innovation Park Enterprise Awards 2008 where the overall winner will receive €10,000 and runners up will get €1,500 each.
Andrew Deegan from Breakout Gaming Concepts, Niall Harbison from iFoods.tv and David Carpenter from Q-Validus will each have 15 minutes to present their business plans to the panel of judges before being grilled on their proposals.
This year’s judging panel will be looking for the best new investment proposal and comprises Owen Murphy from ACT Venture Capital; Cyril Maguire, from Trintech; author and former American VC, Diane Mulcahy and Ivan MacDonald from Rococo Software.
Now in its sixth year, the Docklands Innovation Park Enterprise Awards programme is the initiative of the Bolton Trust and the DIT Hothouse Programme. Previous winners include: Openplain (2007); Ripple Software Ltd (2006); Glantreo Ltd (2005); Sigmoid Technologies Ltd (2004) and Allergy Standards Ltd (2003). This year awards will be presented by Cyprian Brady TD.
Those with an interest in ‘Start-Ups’ are welcome to attend the Awards Evening, which will take place on Thursday 21 February 2008 at Docklands Innovation Park on Dublin’s East Wall Road, however advance registration is required as places are limited.
